Journey to Creativity

Hence the beauty of subjectivity and the potential for creativity to flourish in diverse ways. Personally, I wouldn't consider myself a very creative person, but I'm excited about my potential of becoming more creative. It's reassuring to know that creativity is not solely given to individuals as a divine gift, but rather something that can be cultivated through learning and practice. As I enter into this class, I'm discovering that creativity extends beyond conventional notions like being a talented artist. It involves exploring different perspectives and interpretations. In contemplating an image, I realize that my understanding may differ significantly from that of a friend. 

During a class activity, we were tasked with crafting an image using only two lines. What unfolded was a fascinating display of diverse creativity, as each person envisioned something entirely different and unique. It is often expected for people to gravitate towards drawing animals or creatures, I found myself sketching a fish. Surprisingly, this simple exercise became a pivotal moment of self-awareness, allowing me to recognize the potential for growth within my creative mind. Far from interpreting this realization negatively, I embraced it as a positive one. This was an exciting indication that my creative journey is only just beginning, with the month of January being a canvas for my development.
